Bar Bar Black Sheep
Bar Bar Black Sheep Game from Microgaming
Microgaming seems to be dead set on keeping the action coming with a retro style in 2016. We can only assume that whoever the creative guy behind the likes of Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park was has moved on to bigger and better things. Bar Bar Black Sheep is the latest game off the production line to be a little tame when it comes to innovation, although there are a few quirks and perks that do certainly allow it to stand out among a rather dull recent release schedule.
We do, in fairness, have a bit of a soft spot for retro symbols and they don’t really get much more authentic than the bar, something that will be familiar to long-term players from around the world. It is joined on the board by black sheep, white sheep and some other fruit and farm related imagery, and it’s actually nice not to have to deal with the playing card icons for once! These symbols can also come together for a bit of a bonus feature of their own, and when it hits, you can be sure that you won’t forget the name of the game any time soon! Essentially, you’ll be looking to land two bars followed by a black sheep on the board – spelling out Bar Bar Black Sheep of course. The reward for doing so is a random cash prize which can actually be pretty decent, coming in at up to 999 times the total stake.
Bonus Free Spins
There’s a wild card on the game in the form of the Bar Bar Black Sheep logo, but with no additional features to it to speak of, we’re far more interested in the sack of corn adorned with “free spins”. This is the game’s scatter and landing three in view at once will award ten free games. Landing four or five at the same time will up the number of spins to fifteen or twenty respectively and they will all be accompanied by a three times multiplier on all prizes. Hitting further scatters during the bonus round will also see players being able to up their free spins totals at the same rate as the triggering combinations.
Bar Bar Black Sheep Mobile
This game is perhaps the cream of the crop as far as Microgaming’s 2016 releases are concerned so far and it would have been a missed opportunity for them not to launch it on mobile devices at the same time as the online launch. Fortunately, they did just that and so players can take the chance to line up bars and sheep on the go just as well as they would be able to on a desktop or laptop.
There’s definitely a certain charm to Bar Bar Black Sheep that makes it a worthy addition to the Microgaming range. However, charm aside, it is more of the same when it comes to features and bonuses, with only the added cash prize setting it apart. That said, it is still a fun little game and availability both at online casinos and on casino apps, as well as here at PLG, means that players are certain to have plenty of options with this one.
