Guns n’ Roses
Guns n’ Roses NetEnt Game
History is littered with careers of successful rock bands but one that leads practically no introduction is Guns n’ Roses and they have been selected by NetEnt to represent them on their first foray into the 2016 Rock Tour – which means that other musical masterpieces are inevitable. On first glance, the signs clearly indicate that if we can expect even more great games that measure up to this standard over the coming months then all NetEnt fans are in for a real treat, and we’re certainly hopeful that those first impressions will lead us to enjoy what could be one of the biggest online game releases of all time!
The Guns n’ Roses OST
If you’re going to build a game based on one of the most iconic bands of all time, you had better ensure that the license leading to its creation includes access to the music! Players certainly won’t be disappointed here as some of the bands biggest hits are included as a backing track and they even come with an interactive playlist in something of a first for reel based gaming. Hit the “Set List” button and you can turn songs on or off, change the order or just do what we do and put Welcome to the Jungle on repeat. It’s memorable if nothing else!
The Base Game
Anyway, that’s enough about the music, let’s get on to the gameplay. There are twenty lines and standard betting options so the title is as accessible as ever. The band members appear on the board, as does the Guns n’ Roses symbol which serves as an expanding wild card at all times. The base game is punctuated with three more special features, our favourite of which is the Appetite for Destruction wild card. This cross shaped image can cover five different symbol positions at the same time and any ones it lands on will work as wild cards. There’s also the Solo Multiplier, which can be awarded following any prize win and will boost returns by between four and ten times, and also Legend Spins. These consist of three free spins with a different selection of reels being completely wild on each.
The Record Bonus Symbol and Feature Rounds
The features continue into the game whenever players manage to land a record scatter on reels one, three and five at the same time. This will grant access to the bonus wheel, where players can look to pick up a cash win or find themselves in either the Crowd Pleaser or Encore Free Spins rounds. The former is a pick a win bonus that is played over three potential levels where players can win coins, multipliers and even ten free spins. The latter is an instant case of ten free spins with each one being endorsed by a band member who will serve as an expanding wild card on one of the central reels.
Guns n’ Roses on Mobile Devices
Guns n’ Roses is one of the most advanced online games we’ve ever come across, making it something of a triumph in its own right that NetEnt has managed to bring it to smartphones and tablets at all, let alone at the same time. Some features are, however, missing compared to the online version. The aforementioned Set List is dropped in favour of Welcome to the Jungle over and over again, which we of course don’t mind but others might. The live action clips of the band are also reserved for the very biggest wins although this can add a greater sense of magnitude to such wins. Other than that, the actual bonus features and gameplay are exactly the same, and that’s what we’re most interested in anyway!
NetEnt built the hype for this game almost as well as the band itself does for a new album and it was definitely worthwhile as the company has delivered one of the biggest and best games ever made. As noted previously, if this is a sign of things to come on the rock tour then we’re happy to be on board for the ride! Check out all the features with no risk by playing the full, no deposit version back up at the top of the page.
