Jungle Jim – El Dorado
Jungle Jim – El Dorado by Microgaming
In what has been perhaps a bit of a barren year for Microgaming in terms of quality new releases, it is actually really nice to see things picking up towards the latter part of the year. Our first impressions of Jungle Jim – El Dorado were that it looks better than anything to have come from the company in recent times, although we did quickly notice that the company may well have lifted the gameplay mechanics from a certain NetEnt title. Specifically, the game has more than a little in common with its competitors Gonzo’s Quest game, but that one is so exciting that we basically don’t mind at all!
Rolling Reels with Big Multipliers
The fun on the game starts off from the very first winning spin and there is much more to look out for than just the 25 lines that happen to start off in play. All of the symbols are themed, so there are no playing card icons to spoil the atmosphere, and when a win does land the symbols responsible for it will disappear from the board. You’ll still get credited for the win of course, but more will appear from the top of the reels and the multiplier meter will increase by one step. If you win again, the process will repeat and it is possible to make it all the way up to a five times multiplier in the base game if you’re lucky enough to make it all the way to four wins in a row using the rolling reels.
El Dorado Free Spins
That is one base game that is downright fun to play, but the really big wins are waiting for any player that manages to make it into the free spins bonus round. Achieving the bonus is carried out in the same way as normal, with players on the lookout for three or more scatters in view. Landing this will lead to ten free games being awarded and the best thing about these spins, aside from being free, is that the multiplier meter undergoes a significant upgrade. Now, all wins will be worth at least three times as much as their base game counterparts as standard. Land just one more win using the rolling reels and it will be worth six times as much as before, and if you go all the way to the end of the meter, you’ll be enjoying a fifteen times boost on every single prize.
Jungle Jim – El Dorado Mobile
We love the speed at which Microgaming releases new games, but we have to admit that we love the fact that they release them online and on mobile simultaneously even more! If you head to one of our recommended Microgaming partner brands, either online or through your mobile browser, you’ll still be able to play the very same game with just some minor control adjustments to make it more suitable for mobile play to contend with.
In all fairness, Jungle Jim – El Dorado is basically just a Gonzo’s Quest clone. However, that still makes it unlike anything else in the Microgaming range and a welcome addition, especially for players who have picked a casino that doesn’t offer NetEnt action. It’s fresh, new and well worth checking out, so be sure to give it a spin for free here on this page or a real money one at any of the great brands that we’ve listed in the sidebar of this review.
