Lost Vegas from Microgaming

The latest batch of games added here at PLG comprises a healthy mix of all-time favourites and brand new releases, and Lost Vegas falls firmly into the latter category. The inspiration behind the game is clear to see, as this is basically Walking Dead on the reels, although obtaining a licence would cost money. There are no copyrights on zombies as far as we know, so the developer has clearly opted for the cheaper option without compromising on any of the inherent quality.

Two Random Board Bonuses

The game takes place along a fairly standard 25 win lines and the symbols all look pretty good. Players have a choice of playing in zombie or survivor mode, with the themed icons updating to reflect your choice. We have to give credit where its due and point out that the zombie symbols are all great looking without getting too ridiculous and we definitely prefer that mode over the more human one. No matter which you choose, the Lost Vegas Wild continues to do exactly what you’d expect from it by filling in for all other symbols on the board aside from the toxic scatter symbol.

As with many slots, the bonuses are the best part of this game but you won’t have to wait around for too long as a couple of them can be randomly triggered within the base game. The first may see a zombie hand punching out at the screen and this isn’t as threatening as it might sound, as he simply wants to drop off some bonus cash for you! The second of these is the Blackout Bonus, which sees all symbols other than the main characters and scatters being blacked out from the board. You’ll receive an instant cash prize for every character in view, and just one scatter symbol on the board is sufficient to trigger the main free spins bonus round.

Survivor and Zombie Free Spins

The traditional means of entering the free spins round is landing three or more of those toxic scatters and it is at this point that you’ll discover that there’s more to your choice of zombies or survivors than just game aesthetics. That also controls the bonus round that will be offered. In the Survivor Mode, the spins are unlimited but every time a playing card icon lands on the board, it will be removed from the game entirely and a bonus prize will be awarded. The reels get richer in this way until you ultimately see all of these symbols having left the screen, at which point the free spins are over.

In the zombie free spins bonus round, stacked zombies will enter the board. When a stack lands, it will contaminate its reel and this will make for wild cards that also now come around in stacks. When all reels have been infected, the free spins round is over – either that or when you reach fifty spins, which will also cause the round to come to a close. Fortunately, if you do make it to fifty spins, you’ll receive an additional bonus prize.

Lost Vegas Mobile

When Microgaming releases a new title nowadays, the chances are that they will not only do so for online players, but also for their mobile counterparts too. That’s the case here on Lost Vegas and you can play the exact same game, with all features and bonuses available, whether you happen to be enjoying the action on your computer or laptop or even your phone or tablet.

With plenty of features to enjoy and a notably solid base game experience, Lost Vegas is right up there with the best that Microgaming has had to offer this year so far. It’s definitely worth a look if you’re a fan of the Walking Dead or zombies in general, and still has plenty to offer regardless of the theme. Give it a spin here on this page with no deposit needed, or find its real money equivalent online or on mobile at any of the great casinos featured in this page’s sidebar.
