Pretty Kitty Microgaming Game
Naturally, when it comes time to review a game, we fire it up and play it, but we were somewhat taken aback when we first sunk our teeth into Microgaming’s new Pretty Kitty title. Our first thoughts were something along the lines of this neither being called Pretty Kitty or it being produced by Microgaming, mainly because this looks a little too much like IGT’s Kitty Glitter to be a coincidence. That said, we’re definitely not the fun police and if IGT want to take issue with the look of the game then that’s something for them to sort out – not us!
Anyway, potential copyright infringement aside, this game seems to get all the basics right. It isn’t the best looking game but the various cats and their accompanying gem symbols are certainly passable, and the fact that the developer has opted to return to the iconic 243 ways to win system is always a good thing in our eyes.
The game’s logo is the wild card and it appears often enough, and players don’t even need to leave the main game board in order to discover the first part of the feature action. Specifically, cat symbols can land in stacks on the first reel and if players are lucky enough to land an entire stack on a single spin, every other matching cat on the board will also expand to cover its own reel too. It is possible in this manner to fill the whole board with the same cat symbol, leading to 243 wins on a single spin.
Pretty Kitty Free Spins
That feature is nice for keeping things ticking over but it lacks the oomph of a proper free spins round which, in this case, is delivered by Microgaming’s favourite: free spins. Three or more collar scatters anywhere in view on the board will lead to fifteen free spins being awarded and while there is no multiplier, there is one additional boost to set these spins apart. A stack of wild cards is added to the first reel to go with the cats, and if you land the full stack at once then something similar occurs. Specifically, every other wild card on the board will expand, covering its whole reel and often leading to massively enhanced payouts. It is even possible to trigger more spins with further scatter combinations too, so this round is clearly where the biggest wins are to be found.
Pretty Kitty for Mobile Players
When Microgaming launches a new monthly batch of games, the chances are that at least one of them will go mobile at the same time. The good news for Pretty Kitty fans is that this month the game has been the lucky winner, with Ninja Magic being left out instead. That means that you can find it on the mobile app versions of all of your favourite Microgaming casinos.
Things are definitely looking up for Microgaming after a bit of a lacklustre 2016 so far and Pretty Kitty is a solid game, albeit something that we have seen before several times. Nevertheless, solid is good enough at the moment and it’s worth a few free spins at the top of this review, or can also be played online and on mobile devices at one of our recommended Microgaming casino brands.
