Rainbow King by Novomatic

Our Rainbow King review gives us the opportunity to delve a little deeper into one of the Novomatic slots that has consistently remained among our favourites over the years. Like most players, our first encounter with the game came in a good old fashioned land based casino and we’re pleased to confirm that if you’re in a similar situation, this online version of the game captures all of the magic of the original, from looks to features and all the options and extras in between.

Even if you’ve never played Rainbow King before in any format, you’ll be glad to know that it is by no means a difficult game to get to grips with. Far from it, in fact, given that twenty win lines and the typically flexible Novomatic selection of betting options are in full effect here. Minor additions such as an auto play option are also present and you can then get spinning after a minor amount of configuration and that’s where the fun begins as this is one of the most feature packed Novomatic slot games in history! There’s plenty to cover, so let’s get straight into it!

The Rainbow King Feature

There’s no better place to start on the feature coverage than the one that shares a name with the game itself. The Rainbow King appears as a symbol on the game and three or more of them in view, even in scattered positions, will lead to this board based feature. Hitting the start button will see the king begin to make his way around the board, collecting jewels as he goes. These are worth instant cash prizes to you, and there’s also a chance to pick up Reel King spins, named in honour of Novomatic’s other leading regal themed game. If you’ve collected any of these by the end of the board game, they will play out on a smaller, separate slot board that is packed with sevens for easy wins. They’re so easy in fact, that the round only comes to an end when you fail to land one!

Pick a Win in the Cash Castle or during King Cash

The scatters on the base game keep on coming and you’ll want to keep an eye out for the cash castle, with the goal once again being landing three at once. Do so and you’ll be able to click on one of them, revealing a cash prize worth between two and 500 times your total bet as a result. The King Cash bonus is similar in that you’re looking for three or more scatters, this time of the crown variety, but rather than clicking the symbols directly, you’ll be presented with a full screen of crowns. In practice, the two rounds are inherently linked as you still only get to choose one. However, this time the prize you uncover will be worth a minimum of fifty times your total bet, with the top end remaining at 500 times the value.

We’ve made it all the way through this Rainbow King review without even mentioning the wild card – that’s represented by a multi-coloured snowflake and so is hard to miss! So, to say this game has everything and more would be an understatement. The only thing missing off our list of Novomatic expectations is the gamble game and we rarely use that anyway. So, on that basis, if you want some featured packed slots action with a helping of Novomatic magic, give Rainbow King an online spin today, for free, at the top of this page. The real money version is of course ready and waiting over at the leading gaming brands that we recommend in the sidebar.
