South Park Reel Chaos by NetEnt

The first South Park slot by NetEnt was one of the company’s most successful releases of all time, branded or otherwise, and single-handedly made NetEnt fans out of plenty of players with an affinity for the show. The great news was that the deal to bring South Park to our screens covered multiple titles and barely a year had passed before we were treated to this game, South Park – Reel Chaos, which sees us returning to the ‘sleepy’ town in Colorado for some more animated fun. This time round, the characters are all in their superhero identities as first introduced in the episode “Coon and Friends” and there’s a whole host of new features and bonuses in play to whet the appetite of any aficionado.

There are twenty lines in play once again so plenty of familiarity for existing players and the game is all based around stopping the evil plans of Professor Chaos, inexplicably played by Butters, and his assistant General Disarray. The wild is depicted by a lightbulb and speakers but that’s not all there is to look forward to on the game as, like its predecessor, one of the best things about the slot is randomly triggered bonuses in both the base game and the feature round.

Bag a Random, Character Based Bonus

Rather than the supporting cast that were responsible for the random awards in the first South Park slot, this game focuses on the main four boys. General Disarray may appear above a reel and Cartman will build a stack of wilds on the reels in an attempt to catch him. You’ll actually be hoping he fails as if he doesn’t complete the job, he’ll try again by turning another reel completely wild. Kenny is in on the crime fighting too as he enters combat with Professor Chaos, with the battle leading to an instant multiplier for the player regardless of who wins.

Stan’s bonus will only trigger on a spin where there’s no win as he comes into play and causes the reels to respin for free. He’s with you until the end on this one as he’ll keep those reels rolling until a win does land and each unsuccessful spin will increase the multiplier by one, topping out at ten times the standard prize value. Finally, Kyle is on hand to zap away bad guys when his feature triggers. Any baddies on the reels will be shot down and converted into wild cards for even bigger and better wins.

Join Mint-Berry Crunch for his Epic Bonus Spins

Bradley Biggle is by no means the first name that comes to mind when you think of the South Park kids, but you’re likely to remember his heroic alter ego, Mint-Berry Crunch and he’s the star of the main bonus round on South Park – Reel Chaos. His bonus symbol on reels one, three and five will trigger the round and it combines free spins with some good old fashioned hand to hand combat. There are four bad guys to fight over the course of the round and every winning spin will see our hero’s health increasing, along with an incremental multiplier. Losing spins work in the opposite manner, giving the opponent the upper hand in terms of health. A healthy Mint-Berry Crunch is a useful Mint-Berry Crunch as the round continues until he either runs out of energy or all four enemies have been defeated, with the latter almost always leading to epic spins that live up to the name of the bonus round.
